Replies to thread not showing!

I started a thread in Trip Reports and it says that it has 15 replies. I have also received emails that people have replied.

But when I go the thread, my original post is the only thing on the thread.

I'd love to see the responses!

I have encountered the same problem.

airbus320 Mar 8, 2003 1:33 pm

In fact, I can't read my first post in this thread. This has happened since the last week when FT went off line. Previously, I had experienced this problem but the refresh feature solved the problem. Mpw, I can't get anything.

I think that something got rolled back last night, as there are posts to which I replied which now show no replies at all (on the summary list or on the thread page itself).

John at Webflyer Mar 8, 2003 3:55 pm

There have been no rollbacks with any data associated with the board. The issues we have been looking at deal primarily with system software and hardware performance.

Please post links to the threads in question to make it easier for us to examine this issue in detail Monday.

Thanks,
John

My apologies, as I went to link to a thread as an example, I realized that I had received an error (the site was going down) as I posted my reply, so it was never posted.

So I still don't understand if this is my problem or the board's problem.

Can anyone see any of the replies on these two threads?

I have sometimes the same problem = it depends on which PC I work. I think it's a problem in the configuration of the PC or the browser - but I have no clue what to do in order to solve the problem (pressing shift+reload often helped - but NOT always).

edited to add: just found the thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum72/HTML/000662.html in which the same problem is discussed.

Why aren't the replies working?

It says there are 6 replies. I can't see any of them!
Any ideas?

I have six posts in the 003576 thread, if this helps.

Might be a problem with your cache or poxie server?

I just posted a reply to this thread in the United forum:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum50/HTML/018327.html

And the reply isn't showing up.

I suspect it will in a little while, though, because I posted a reply to the thread about no saver F award available to Australia in the UA forum (sorry, can't post the link because I the UA index won't load for me now).

And the reply didn't show up. And the United board's index didn't update. Even though I refreshed both several times and cleared my cache. And then finally upon reload a few minutes later the reply was there.

gleff Mar 12, 2003 6:05 am

This is the original thread I referred to, and the index has updated to include my reply and my reply now shows up in the thread:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum50/HTML/018296.html

Weird.

dan at WebFlyer Mar 12, 2003 10:21 am

We checked out the thread listing and another corrupted post was in there, which could have been yours, unfortunately. We removed it and the United forum is back up, but the post was lost.

gleff Mar 12, 2003 10:28 am

Thanks, Dan!

Well, my replies are still there -- so I'm relieved to know that, as Shaggy say, "wasn't me." http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif
