Does FT appear on Google?
 

I was thinking: does FT appear on or allow listings on Google or other search engines?

I sometimes do searches on Google and might expect topics from FT to appear but they seldom if ever do.

If FT did allow access to search engine bots would that be a plus or minus?

Allowing Google to index our threads would probably be a plus for us, as it would increase exposure for FlyerTalk.

It looks like Google doesn't index the FT threads, though, at least not regularly. One reason may be that there aren't enough links to each thread page for Google to consider adding to its results. Another may be that we're using frames, and although Google does frames, they state that it's still not a perfect system yet.

I did find some FT results on Google, but not very many; most come from other sites that link into FT for a particular thread.
