FWIW, I received this note in response to an attempt to post to this thread.

It looks like that thread is an orphan, and shouldn't have been displayed in FT Miles, since the script that created it (and allows updates to it) is missing. It was probably moved over to FT Archives when UBB assisted us with getting the United threads back up a while back. They had to move a great deal more than the other threads, since United was so large.

Not that THAT was good news, but here's the bad news... since the United thread in FT Archives is still locking up (due to its size), you can't view it in there either.

This isn't the best workaround, but it'll still allow you to continue that thread: start a new thread in United, and for your first post, include your URL above so others can reference the old discussion before adding to the new thread...

Sorry about this; United's threads (and American's, although not lately) have caused us a lot of fun from the immense traffic they get.

FWIW, again:

That particular thread has been copied over to the Archives, but the html file wasn't pruned which is why you can still access it, but can't post to it.

I'm shutting off OMNI for an hour (maybe less) so I can delete all the HTML files, then rebuild them from scratch, which should prevent these orphaned files from showing up...

FWIW Doc's second example when clicked upon now comes up as:

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.</font>

That is likely because as Dan put it above:

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">That particular thread has been copied over to the Archives, but the html file wasn't pruned which is why you can still access it, but can't post to it.

I'll see about doing a site-wide search to remove these posts from Miles and place them in Archives, since they should have been moved (and deleted) from earlier prunes.

UPDATE: Rebuilt/pruned Forum 82 to only contain pages with posts from this year. The links above that pointed into 82 will point to non-existent pages now, since they've been moved to FT Archives.
