Flyertalk down?

I was not able to access Flyertalk for almost a day, although VisualRoute showed that its address was up. I wonder what happened...

Same difficulty for me. Now, 9am PST 1/17 (Thursday), it's running s....l....o....w, and somewhat erratic.
Hope things improve.

The web server went down about 1am Eastern time this morning, and came back up about 11:45 Eastern. The server itself stayed up, so Apache must have just ASAD*.

I had apache returning a 500 internal server error, so I don't think it completely died...

What about network management with SMS alerting ?

We use the poor man's method for now...

Randy is usually up on the boards daily and sends us an email when he notices it's down (or when we get emails from FTers).

With a tool like Big Brother monitoring is free, with ServersAlive it is $99, so that should not be a problem - email me, if you have further questions about this.
