Denied Chat Access
 

Since Friday afternoon, 11/23/01, I haven't been able to get into chat. I get a message that states "You may not connect to DigiChat because another user is already using the name "danville 1K". Please choose another and login again".

It appears that danville 1K must hold the record for the longest continuous stint in the chat rooms http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Maybe I should contact the Guinness Book of Records??

I tried eliminating my cookies in preferences but that didn't help.

I just checked the chat-room - and yes danville 1K is listed there (permanently) as being online (but only if I check the 'show online members in all rooms' box).

Got the same results as Rudi - I assume you've shut all the way down, waited a while and booted back up again?

First I logged off. Then I shut down and restarted. I've restarted at least three times since yesterday, but the result is the same.

I guess someone from FT is going to have to zap me out of there (or maybe I've been 86'd from chat and don't know it????).

Well, at long last I'm able to get back into the chat room.

It must have fixed itself, since we weren't in over the holidays...

This has happened a couple times in the past, and usually requires me to have DigiChat reset the chat server.
