view of original message in 'reply' mode
I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but when the forums were in the format they were a couple of weeks ago, w/the different load page, when you replied to a message, below the reply box, you could actually see the message to which you were replying. It was in a separate box, about an inch or so high, w/ a scroll bar to be able to see the entire original message. I thought that was terrific - sometimes I have to open another browser to go to the message I'm responding to just to make sure I'm responding correctly. Yes, I know, I could use 'reply w/ quote' to see it and and delete the quoted text after I craft my reply, but that's cumbersome and this was better.
Michael - any idea how you did that and could it be available in this format? |
It's available now, directly below where I am typing this reply...

I don't know why it cut out on you either... other than if you're using Netscape (4.x), you don't get that little window.
