Problem: those [descriptive phrases in brackets]

The addition of descriptive phrases in brackets to the pull-down bar at the bottom of my browser window (...can you tell I'm not net -savvy? that's the best I can describe them) seems to be forcing the elongation of aforementioned pull-down bar to the point where I have to scroll to the right in order to click "go".

I'm sure there was a more concise way to put that, but can't think of it.

Is this a problem on my end?

If not, can this be fixed? Possibly by just getting rid of them?

I have the same problem SuperSlug. A mid-course correction is definitely in order.

Right. This is probably another manifestation of the design where long URLs also force the active area of the window to be wide enough to accommodate their full length, so messages have to be scrolled horizontally. Having to do it when a thread contains a long URL is a minor annoyance, since URLs long enough to make this happen don't show up very often, but the jump table does it to every window.

The easiest fix is probably to shorten the descriptions of each area.
