Flyertalk using old email addresses

Some weeks ago, I changed my email address on here, since the one I used to have listed is now unreliable.

On Thursday, [email protected] sent a reminder about the Hilton chat to the old email address, but nothing to the current one.

Surely the reminders should be sent to current email addresses, not old ones.

Did you request to be sent a reminder back when you were still using your old address? I remember that one must enter one's e-mail address again. They can't extract it from the FT database automatically.

Also, if you subscribe to MilesLink (I almost typed TalkMail by mistake http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif ) you might need to unsubscribe from your old e-mail and re-subscribe with your new e-mail.

Hope this is of help,
FewMiles..

That makes little sense. The reminder email ends with:

"If you would prefer not to receive FlyerTalk-related announcements such as this, you can change your settings by logging into FlyerTalk and using the "Profile" link. "

If I tell it I don't want administrators' announcements by email, I don't know whether that will turn them off completely, or attempt to turn them off for the current email address, so I'll still get them at the old address, or what.

If the database doesn't work properly, it's hard to know what action will fix things.

Kremmen, good morning.

Please accept my apologies for having taken so long to get back with you on this issue.

I was wondering if you could send me your original email address and the one that you changed it to? If you could, I'd appreciate it and I'll do some digging into the matter and let you know what I find out.

Please send the info to the email address listed below.

Thanks.
