I think I've seen a few other occasions of "cross-linked" titles and threads before, but rarely though. Last time I attributed part of the problem to the merger of the CP and AC fora.

I think it has to do with the Infopop software (Ultimate Bulletin Board). My experience with several of them is that when the messages are cached to "re-build" a new page, it can get a little dicey depending on whether or not that same page is being accessed at the same time by some other person ... especially if they are also posting to that page.

I haven't actually experimented with it, or went to Infopop to read up on it, but that is my impression from running a UBB board elsewhere and from looking at when messages go missing.

Happening again. For example inthe CatManDo thread in Community. Says it has 10 pages, but it can't find the 10th!

Catman thread has about 50 pages now (pre edits!) as the Forum down for many hours and every attempt I made to post timed out. Not so ... they ALL posted over a 7 hour period! BAD feature on FT .. first time that one has happened to me.
