Deleting my own post before I post it, how?
 

About half the time when I am nearly finished typing a post it vanishes completely. I am unable to duplicate this intentionally. It seems like its the hand on the left side of the keyboard that is doing something. Very annoying and time consuming!

This happens on my laptop only. All I know about it technically is that it was custom built and runs a Pentium 3 with Microsoft Explorer. There is a built in mouse at the base of the keyboard which I never use.

in all likelihood you're hitting the ESC key - we've all done it and we all complain about it! That action deletes your entire effort - once to twice and you're pretty careful to avoid it http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

svpii, thanks for the suggestion and for your time! On my laptop keyboard esc is top upper left. I rarely go up there. My hands stay down toward the bottom. I have had fewer problems since some folks on the Marriott board told me to hover my hands and not let them rest on the keyboard.

Just the same I will watch esc and I wish you a most happy New Year! (oops that exclamation point comes awfully close to esc, maybe that's what did it :-) )
