Anybody else crashing?

Ever since the new ads have come on FlyerTalk has crashed my browser on both of my machines after anywhere from 1-20 minutes of reading the bulletin board. I am using the latest release of IE5.01.

Anyone else crashing regularly?

I am using beta5.5 and have no problems with crashing...

No problems with AOL's IE5.0.

I have not had a problem with my browser crashing, but over the past few days, the bulletin board, itself, has been crazy-slow on my computer. Has anyone else had speed problems, or is this just my connection?

No crash problems for me, mostly with IE5.0 & a bit of Netscape.

My browser has been crashing periodically, but the past few times, it has only affected the Flyertalk page. Other times, it has caused everything to shut down. 2 crashes today.

No crashing using IE4.0

As a suggestion to the "crashers": try increasing the cache size of your browser to about 12 megs and see if this makes a difference. It's helped me on other sites where mine crashed.

Good suggestion A Flygirl and thank you very much for your feedback. Can everybody who has been having these sorts of problems give A Flygirl's suggestion a try and let me know if it helps you?

Feel free to email me with your results at mailto:[email protected][email protected]</A>

My cache size was already set to 63 Mb.

I haven't had the problem for a couple days. It happened when the ad server was slow. One way to make it reproduce reliably was to shift/right-click on multiple threads from the mail page (say 10) and get them all loading at once. That was they way I used to read FT, but now I just use one browser window so it won't crash.
