Flyer Talk Needs New Batteries !!!

Itsa been getting slower, and slower and.....and then it went. Now the board is again running again.

C'mon Randy....get some new batteries so I can get some more great mileage suggestions from the FT groupies.

I gotta some extra "d cells" around somewhere. Who do I send them to?

Hello MisterNice and thank you for your feedback.

I just wanted to let you know that we appreciate your patience and that we are still continueing to work on the cookie & speed issues of FlyerTalk.

I spent many hours yesterday and during the last week attempting to get the UBB upgrade in place. The one that UBB assured me would fix these cookie problems. I hadn't anticipated any problems as the upgrades have never been much of a problem in the past...but alas, this one is giving me a bit of problem for some reason. I managed to get some of it in place, as you can see, but not the critical pieces which was my real goal.

I need to contact UBB again and look over their technical support forums and see if I can determine why this should be a problem. In the meantime keep hanging in there and we'll get this resolved asap.

ThanX...

Michael at WebFlyer,

Thanks Michael for the very prompt reply. I/we do appreciate your attention to the problems, and I know too well the toll it takes on anyone's personal or family life to go the office on a Sat or Sun to put out the fires.

UBB does the planebusiness.com software. They are in ver 5.40 (FT states it is ver 5.39c), and it looks like they have the same general preferences setup. I haven't any problems with it. They don't seem to do the "lightbulb" thingee, otherwise the general appearance is quite similar. They have always been faster, but it is a much smaller board.

Just some observations and keep up the good work.

Michael, whatever you did on Saturday has been a godsend. FT is now functioning the way I envisioned when I went to a cable modem.

Keep up the good work!
