Me too. Very slow for last couple of hours. Reminds me of old days with dial up.

I'm not having any problems- have been doing some posting and moderating for at least a couple of hours.

It went back to normal probably when you came on. It was so bad I just gave up on FT for a few hours & when I checked back in after then (and presumably when IB had gotten to the office) it was back to normal. But when the poster above you said it was running like slow dial up for a while he wasn't kidding.

Cheers. Sharon

Ugh. I remember those days: I moderated on GEnie, then on CompuServe - where we used TapCIS to up/download while we slept, and did our posting and moderating the next day, rinsed and repeated overnight.

Intermitently very slow and laggy and lots of "database errors."

I've been experiencing the same thing for weeks. Ironically, right now, at this moment, it's fast, just like any other site .

Which OS, versions, please?

I'm on quite a bit and other than one or two short periods of database issues mentioned previously, haven't noticed any particular slowness using the most current versions of Chrome and Safari (other than when I was at the Parmelia Hiltin Perth, where it was the property's fault with totally inept and dodgy WiFi).

Sloooooooooooow

Last couple days, FT has been close to impossible to use on any of my laptop/desktop PCs, using Chrome and Win7 or Win10.

Pages load slow or completely time out. I've also noticed that Chrome turns into a massive memory and CPU hog the moment I load any FT page, to the point that my entire machine becomes unusable until I kill the Chrome processes. It does not do this with any other website that I frequent.

From a couple other threads in the past few weeks, and the fact that these issues started about the same time the mobile site started giving me blank pop-up ad boxes, I'm suspicious that new ad providers are to blame. Hopefully something can be done. I don't mind the ads providing FT/IB some money, but as they make the site unusable right now, I'm going to access exclusively via the apps for now, which are of course completely ad-free...

I'm having the same problem with Chrome on Win7. Machine bogs down or Chrome just fails and I get the frownie face aw shucks screen.
