Do we really need 6 sticky threads about the FT offline period?

Really, one sticky thread is more than enough. C'mon mods, you are using up all our screen real estate.

Hmmm, not sure why, but I haven't actually see one. When is it offline? (seriously, I have no clue what you are talking about, I don't see a sticky on here). The only ones I see are 'Welcome' and then further up one asking if they should close Travel news.

Instead of the usual announcement from an Admin person that FT has a scheduled downtime for maintenance, a bunch of mods have posted announcements in their respective fora. If you, for instance, click on New Posts, the entire list of these announcements appears at the top (with one from our Community Director about a TB vote). BTW, I see four such announcements, not six, by three moderators.

Same thing for me. I wouldn't have seen it if it weren't for this complaint thread. And I still don't know when the offline period is.

Same here - haven't seen the announcement, and this thread really doesn't help.

I did see the Announcement - why isn't an outage posted there?

It's tonight for one hour, starting at 8 pm Pacific (California) time. It begins in about twenty minutes.

They got an email from the admins, saying that they should inform their forums. Seemingly, a number of them decided to do that.

We did? I did not get that email! :)

You should have done. Is your link between your personal email and your flyertalk email address working?
