Flyertalk Gallery not loading
 

Was working last night (around 0010h GMT+10), but tried to access it this afternoon without success (also can tell because hot-linked images in forums aren't being displayed).

When trying to access http://gallery.flyertalk.com/gallery/ I got some different errors:

• At work I get a "Connection refused" error (Windows 7 64-bit, latest Firefox)
• At home I get a "Cannot establish connection" error (Windows 7 32-bit, latest Firefox)
• At home if I ping gallery.flyertalk.com using an elevated Command Prompt, ping returns "Request timed out".

I hope this doesn't mean the end of Flyertalk Gallery - I've really enjoyed it and use it heaps (including storing all my trip report photos there).

Seems to be working again. That was a weird one.

gallery.flyertalk.com/gallery is just showing a blank page.

Now broken elswhere - trying to upload a photo to the gallery, I enter the file dails and go through the upload sequence then the pop up simply shows as attached ...

... and nothing is uploaded.

There is a personal album under "MyFlyerTalk"
Networking
- Contacts & Friends
- Social Groups
- Pictures & Albums

Seems to be more reliable

I was aware of that.

Doesn't help with the scores i\of images I have stored in the gallery ... and I am loath to split.

Can you be more specific about the issue?

Also please list step by step what you are doing and indicate where the problem is.

Make sure your file size is not too large and the type is allowed on FT.

1. Log into my user at http://gallery.flyertalk.com/gallery/Serftys-Stuff

2. Select Album: General (http://gallery.flyertalk.com/gallery...-Miscellaneous)

3. Select "Album Actions"

4. Choose "Add Photos" from drop box.

POP up window opens (http://gallery.flyertalk.com/gallery...ous&type=popup)

5. Set number of files to 1

6. Select file from disk using [Browse...] button, file name shows beside button (Simple .jpg, first image a screen scrap of the FT window)

7. Ignoring 'caption' dialogue, choose [Upload Now]

A new file upload pop up appears (second image) then disappears.

I am left with the original pop up showing "Processing Status..." (Third image)

And that's it.

I just tried to replicate and was not even able to log into the gallery -- I have created a tech ticket and will update as I get more info -- hold tight!

I have been working in IT since 1980 ... ;)
