Can't do search? [Buggy ad interferes with Search function]

BA's site is quite buggy and confusing... but still very powerful! :)

Are you talking about a BA ad here on FT? If so, report it in the Technical Issues forum and they'll deal with it. There have been prior reports of some ads causing problems.

After taking Tom's advice, you can enter text in the search window by placing your cursor on the extreme right of the search field before clicking (there's a very small space that does not overlap the BA banner). Works with Chrome and Safari, no promises in IE.

Ruhkbat's counsel earlier in this thread is valid...though how s/he discovered the workaround I can't imagine.:)^

This will be reported to Admin; it seems to be a buggy advert.

In the SPG forum when I try to search, the search box opens over a sidebar ad and then instead of starting the search links to the ad instead. You cannot move the search box, so you cannot search.

Not able to replicate - but, the ads could be causing the issues being described. Are you able to bypass the issue by searching directly from advanced search page?
