Quick reply not working?
Now when I hit the quick reply tag, I get taken to a new screen to do the reply in, instead of just being able to use the bottom of the page quick reply option.
|
I am having the same problem...
As well, it is doing "Reply with Quote"... I do not remember that when hitting Quick Reply in the past.

It's the reply w/ quote that's annoying to me when I'm clicking on quick reply & thus, don't actually want the quote Because then I have to delete the quote before starting to respond.

Hmmm. Not seeing this behavior; reply with quote brings me to a new screen (as always) and QR lets me type into the box at the bottom as always.
I'm using FF 9.0. What browsers are you having this happen with? |
OK -- I'm going to guess you're all IE users? I see it happening with IE.
I will report! |
YEP... IE for me.
I hit quick reply... and the quote below showed up in the window.

IE8 for me. Just tried it on my personal laptop.
Firefox, Opera, and Chrome are all ok. The other IE issue I noticed is on the main page. When you hover your cursor over a thread title, a text box reading: Go to the first unread post in thread 'xxxxx' This is no longer happening in IE8. It does still work in the other browsers. |
Quick quote working properly in Safari.
|
Any thought of when this will be fixed for IE?
I would have thought this would have been tested on the IE platform before being implemented... guessing there are a few of us who use IE! :)

Tech is investigating. No eta on a resolution as yet.
|
Using Chrome here - this is what results with Quick Reply.
|
Just wanted to note that Quick Reply seems to be "always on" now in IE. So you can use it without pressing the quick reply button.
|
Any update on this issue? Very time consuming having to delete the quotes each time I want to respond to a post.
And, seems like many people are choosing to not take the time to do that.... noticing more quoted posts lately.

I'm on IE8 on my home computer. It doesn't ever happen on IE7, and never has. I just noticed that in the left hand side, in the medium blue section, it says "reply to thread" rather than "quick reply" |
Not working for me either Paul!
I hit quick reply like Mary... and your quote prepopulated the reply box.

I'll have tech look into this again.
