It's squashing my name as if I pasted a large image in there, but the stuff in the code block isn't nearly wide enough to justify this.

I'm not seeing that.

Have you cleared your cache and cookies? What browser and version are you using?

Firefox 4.01

I think it's a matter of screen width--something in that message I linked is being treated as a fixed width well beyond it's actual width.

I'm running 1280x1024 but with the bookmark panel open on the left, the actual display area is more like 1024 wide. Every so often I run into a webmaster that assumes 1280 width and breaks the screen with some fixed layout but there's nothing in my message that should do that.
