posting bug? "you have reached the max ..."
"You have reached the maximum number of posts (0) allowed in a 24 minute period for this forum."
I haven't posted anything today. Pressed the quote button in a thread in travel tech. -David |
I just got the same thing. I posted once in the forum (DL) more than two hours ago (IIRC my only post today) and one on June 20.
In fact, when I tried to start a thread here on this, I got a similar message: Maximum number of threads (0) allowed in a 24 minute period." ADDED: Just now I was able to go back to the DL forum and make my post. |
Same here.
 |
Same thing happened to me.
|
I have advised IB of the problem.

I haven't posted anything today. Pressed the quote button in a thread in travel tech. -David I was hit by this about 40 minutes ago and the system didn't even allow me to post nor start any thread on FT. I had to PM Carol to get attention. ETA: Now it seems I can add my reply since this post went through. |

I thought that's what I was doing when I posted here. :D I am also able to post, it was only a problem when I used the quote button. Then I came here and did "create new thread", which seemed to work, so maybe they are playing with some settings under the hood of FT? -David |
OK, I've heated up the phone lines. bconver says IB-Dick has dropped everything else to work on this.
|
Yup, we're on it.

David, you should be happy that you are at least still allowed to start a thread to report this "24 episode."

We're still investigating, but it appears that the episode is over, correct?

Yes, we can call this episode 7:47AM - 7:48AM (HST). :D
I thought FT is going to have its own 24 Franchise by minute because our archived ORP Forum was in plain sight when I kept hitting the 24 episodes. :D |

I only know that I can reply to threads now. |

I can't seem to reproduce it now. Any idea what caused it?

If it helps, the UA/CO forums were split back into separate forums for a while and the pre-merger forum disappeared. I was trying to follow up on a post from yesterday and it was in neither forum.

I haven't posted anything today. Pressed the quote button in a thread in travel tech. -David In any case - all now seems fine for me. |
Glad this has been resolved,
Was wonder what I did wrong because my first indication of a problem was You do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? This forum may require additional account pre-requisites that you don't current have. Check the Announcements for this forum to see if you're required to have a minimum number of posts already, etc. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. |

Wondering how the OP could start this thread if he/she couldn't post?
-David |
I think when you were successfully starting the thread, I was trying to figure out from other threads in this forum who I could contact by PM about the problem. At that point, I noticed this thread first and by then was able to post in it.
