Oversized photograph

In post 14 of this thread
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/conti...ed-merger.html
there is a large photo. The thread doesn't wrap and goes way to the
right. I suspect that the photo is the problem.
No problem on page 2. It happens in both explorer and firefox.

Perhaps such photos could be shrunk or prevented.

I vaguely recall there's a specified limit of photo size on FT.

Maybe if you alerted the said forum mods via RBP or something, they would be able to take care of oversized photos more promptly?

I've done that a number of times on the AA meal threads where photos extend out well beyond my laptop or desktop screen. Without exception they've deleted the photos and asked the poster to provide a new link with a smaller photo. I suspect a lot of folks that post photos don't know how to downscale them to smaller size, so you are pretty dependent on the moderators to manage those photos. I sent a note to the CO moderators.

And Safari, at least version 5 for Macintosh. Plus, at about 3 megs, it makes a noticeable difference in how quickly the page loads - and not in a good way.

Sadly, with about 300,000 FT members, we can't expect everyone to be self-policing in this regard. An automated technology fix would be nice.
