"Your Opinion Matters"

Is FT associated with an Opinion Central survey that is constantly associated with a pop-up ad stating that "Your Opinion Matters"?

The ad pops up on essentially every FT page I try to load (and only on FT pages), and is either a pop-up box or a little circle that floats onto the screen from top to bottom. It is getting to be incredibly annoying.

The address for the Opinion Central survey appears to be core.insightexpressai.com.

I've been having the same problem: it's a blue bouncing ball that pops up only on FT (and sometimes has a matching banner ad at the top of the page) and prevents me from reading posts. Changing my pop-up blocker setting to "high" doesn't solve the problem at all--it seems to pop up just as often--but inconveniences me when I want to click on links. I think this has been happening constantly for about the last couple weeks and I haven't noticed that it's correlated with the forum I'm using.

For the record, I use IE with Windows XP and run up-to-date anti-virus/security software.

Yeah - it's really quite annoying. I get it to on my office computer which has most pop-ups blocked & corporate security software installed.

Thanks for reporting. We'll look into it.

I've been getting it for a few weeks now on multiple computers with multiple different browsers. It's extremely annoying.

I found a temp solution to it.

I do not close it, rather, after it pops up, I select the FT main window and the pop up is now hidden in the background. I can view all the FT pages I want without interruption and when I'm finished, I close both windows.

The issue seems to be resolved now, as I've not seen the pop-up yet today.

Thanks.

ETA: Nope, I'm still getting it. Guess I posted too soon. Grrr...

IBsteph Jun 11, 2010 10:56 am

Yes I believe we got it taken down. Thanks for confirming.

MsTravelBug Jun 11, 2010 6:46 pm

I'm still getting it.

For the love of god make this one go away! It's been driving me crazy on multiple computers for a week.

I figured maybe if I just completed the blasted survey it would go away. But that isn't even an option!:

"Thank you for trying to participate in our survey. However, the survey has achieved its desired number of completions. Thanks again for participating!"

I am getting this on every page for the past few days - both at home and at the office (strictly work related)

As far as we know it was turned off . We are trying to figure out why some of you are still getting it..

I will let you know when they find out.

Thanks!
