Glitch with "My Threads"

Glitch with "My Threads"
When I click the "My Threads" link under the quick links menu, the search that is performed finds:
Any way to change this search to be on the exact name, instead of `includes`?

It looks like the "My Threads" link does the same thing as doing a "Search By User Name" going through the "Advanced Search" and not ticking the "Exact name" box. This may not have appeared as a glitch before as I'm sure there must be only a few usernames (like swag) that could actually be a part of someone else's username. In other words, nobody else has a username that contains l-o-2-e, so when I hit "My Threads", I only get results for me. So it looks like the solution is to just tick that box behind the scenes of the MyThreads link.

Can I bump this thread? 4 years later, no fix, all that has changed is the number of users with "swag" embedded in their name has doubled. 
It seems like an easy fix; advanced search by username already allows an option for exact match. All I'm asking is that the My Threads/My Posts links use that existing code path.
