I was about to post the following this morning:

As of this morning (GMT +2) I can get into FT forums instantly as I did in the past.

Many thanks to whoever fixed it. ^

Now I can access my prescioussss, preciousssss FT without using the nasty work's VPN.
Then I discovered that the system hangs when I post a reply. So I've had to log into the work VPN to post this.

I finally identified what was blocking you, and got it removed. I don't know why you would be having an issue with replying. I'll forward this to the network guy who found the last block.

Spoke too soon... Turns out the freeze is not related to replies but appears intermittently with random pages throughout FT even while others are loading quickly. Might it be associated with some content in the advertising on those pages?

The (frustrating) solution at the moment is to keep refreshing or just come back later.

I go through periods (like now) when my pages won't load if I use AOL (IE). But, if I switch to Firefox the pages load just fine.

When I allow that one, even with ?nocache=1 FT doesn't load.

Allowing ibpxl doesn't seem to matter.

Firefox 3.6.3, WinXP sp2.
I've done some testing. Four different machines on my network, three are XP, one is Vista. Firefox, IE and Google Chrome. Not one of them can load FT unless I block ui.ibsrv.net on that particular browser. If I take the laptop elsewhere, log on with a different network, it works.

I'm on a Sprint 4G wimax connection running through a cradlepoint router. Could Sprint be blocking ibsrv.net?

We haven't changed anything, but there is a possibility that your firewall (probably at the router level) is blocking the ibsrv domain.

We're looking at possible reasons for this.

I have the noscript extension on Firefox. Around 7 p.m. I clicked that, marked it to flag ibpxl.com as untrusted, and then FT loaded instantly. It's some crap in javascript at the end of the page code.
Sorry to bring up an old thread but this exact issue happened to me about a week ago, I couldn't load FT on firefox (all other sites work) so was having to use IE to access FT.

Installed no script add-on and it now works in FF perfectly.

Does this mean there is a problem with the javascript on FT?

I'm not a mod, but I do use Firefox and it seems to load fine on my machine and I don't need to use NoScript.

I'm glad to stumble on this thread. I'm experiencing the exact same problem. It started yesterday out of the blue. It doesn't matter what browser I used, IE, Firefox or Chrome, FT keeps bombing out on me. What's the latest fix for this problem? Thanks.

I spent 2 hours on the phone with my ISP (Comcast) and they couldn't figure it out why. :-)
