Compensation for 5+ hours of delay

Hello! I was on this TAP flight 207 from Lisbon to Newark, which was delayed for over 5 hours due to this incident

Is it even fair for me to ask compensation for the 5 delay, considering that this was due to a unexpected incident which TAP swiftly actioned on and bought us all back home safe!

If I were to request compensation - how much and who do I request this to - Any advice helpful! Many thanks!

This is a mechanical issue, so you are due 600€ compensation.

If you feel that the crew handled the situation well and you don't have issues with the rebooking, duty of care etc. I think you should let it go.
