Reimbursement for baggage fee - 5 day delayed bag
Hi All,
My checked bag was lost and was delivered 5 days later on a flight from Chicago to Lisbon. Am I entitled to reimbursement of the $250 bag fee? If so, what EU regulations do I cite I'm my reimbursement request?
Tom

Bag fee? What fee are you talking about ? If you mean you paid a fee to check-in a bag on the flight, I fail to see how and why this should be refunded to you because the bag was delayed. But you can give it a try, but I would expect a "No".
You can submit receipts to TAP for reimbursement of expenses incurred to necessary clothing and toiletries bought until the bag was delivered to you.
There is no EU regulation for bagage, but there is no need to quote anything. Just refer to your booking No. and the WorldTracer track No. you got when reporting the missing bag to airline - and keep it short.
Or even better, submit your receipts to your travel insurance for quicker reimbursement there.
