- Well I'm flying from the U.S. to Europe for $224.15rt so for that price, OK on not getting any miles. But I have inputted my Air Canada Aeroplan number in the reservation rather than the TAP number so we'll see what happens.

It's a bummer, but let's be honest: it's only 10% miles. It's just yet another devaluation of the programme. Still, even if miles won't be accrued, at least the flight will still count as a segment for elite qualification and elite bonus miles will be credited as well.

IIRC United lets you earn miles on lower fare class partner flights than Aeroplan does. I believe you wouldn't have ever earned Aeroplan points at that fare class on a partner, before or after the change.
