LIS fastrack for connections?

Next month I'll be taking my first trip on TAP, Chicago to LIS and connecting on to MAD. There have been a number of schedule changes and my connection is now just 1:05. I've reached out to TAP and they refuse to put me on a later connecting flight, stating that 1 hour is the minimum connection and I'll have "plenty of time". I've looked at the recent flight stats for TAP 242 and they aren't too encouraging, arriving on time/early just 37% of the time over the past 2 months. Both the Lisbon airport website and TAP sell fast-track passes for LIS. Does anyone have any experience with these? Would they help? It looks like many arriving flights use remote stands and I'm a little concerned about the connection. I'd be fine having a longer 4hr layover but TAP seems firm in refusing this change. Thanks for any feedback!

AFAIK, the fast-track passes are not available for connections, only for departures originating in LIS. In any case, the wait usually takes longer for immigration, not for the security checkpoint itself.

1:05 is doable - the airport is small. It all depends on how quickly the immigration lines move. You might get lucky with an escort to the front of the immigration line.

Security line takes no more than 5-8 mins.

I had this exact connection situation in November and we were ~25 minutes late departing ORD. Upon arrival in LIS I
checked the app and found out I had been rebooked to the later LIS-MAD connection. They had new boarding pass
already printed at transit desk area.

We landed at a remote stand and lines were not long, but I tried to rush through and get to the gate anyways, and the
plane had already pushed back.

So if you're delayed even by a bit, be prepared for the alternative. Good news is that EC261 might be applicable in this
situation.

Thanks for the info. I wouldn't be so worried but see that many planes land at a remote stand. It's annoying that I originally had a longer, more comfortable connection and TAP refuses to put me on a later connecting flight.

Thanks for the info - that's basically the scenario I am expecting, especially leaving Chicago in February. I asked TAP if they'd just book us on the later connecting flight but they unfortunately refund without charging a change fee. Nonetheless, I'm glad to see they were so proactive with rebooking.
