What are my schedule change rights for a major change?
I bought my ticket 3 weeks ago for travel in mid September ORD-NAP / MRS-ORD as TAP was hundreds of dollars less expensive.
My outbound fare was TUSBSI0E and return was EUSBSI0E.
The outbound was originally this schedule.
ORD-LIS 6:10pm-8am
LIS-NAP 9am-1pm
It has now changed to this.
ORD-LIS 6:10pm-8am
LIS-NAP 7am-11:05am
This is an obvious misconnect but TAP has booked this flight for an hour prior to our trans-Atlantic arrival.
Is my option to go to LIS the day before? If so, will they cover the hotel?
Do I have the option to ask them to keep me on my original day on another Star Alliance airline?
I assume they might do option 1 but maybe not hotel and probably not option 2.
If I don't like option 1 they will probably say it's so early that they will just give me a refund.
Suggestions or ideas are appreciated.

The computer will spot this as an impossible connection eventually and you should receive an email with the choice TAP propose, which will be a later connection to NAP, either with TAP or with another carrier. If the flight is the next day TP has to cover an hotel. If you are not contacted by TP within 2 weeks, then make a note of your preferred choice and call them.
