Do you happen to have the picture with higher resolution? I can't read any of the labels or row numbers in the seat map you linked. It seems that it is a pre-launch mock-up with a bizarre "Pending licensing from Air New Zealand" footnote.

There is still no official seat map on this aircraft - not on TAP site nor any other place except the mock up.
However it should pretty much modeled the current lie-flat model, i.e. it is a 1-2-1 with staggered setting on the window sides in the sense of window window and window aisle. The phone rep would only understand it as window and aisle, because the no privacy seat on the window side section is indeed an aisle seat.

Thanks, this is helpful. I was wondering about the location of the storage compartment next to each seat in the middle of the cabin. In general I prefer a seat with the storage on the aisle side, so that I'm further shielded from noise and food/duty-free carts. (In the previous 332 J layout they alternated the location of this storage space, in one seat facing outward to the aisle, in the next seat facing inward, and so on.)

How did you pull up the seat map?
The seat selection function is not even showing up on our Aeroplan award tickets on the TP 224 MIA-LIS route but travel in Sept.
i.e. Under Services, I do not see ANY clickable bubble.
I called TAP to request being put at 3A and 4C.

Yes purchased directly with TP. Under My Booking / Services on flytap.com I have the option to select seats online, that's when the seatmap shows up. I would think same works for award tickets, too.
4C not really a good seat, though I would say, much less so than 3A. Only reason I am in 8G is because I am traveling with someone in 8D.

I just booked a flight yesterday on the EWR-LIS flight at the end of May and I was looking for a seatmap too since it showed the a330-900neo as the plane. The pic referenced in the second post is useless since it's way too small.
I did find the below post on the new plane but I think the author got his rows mixed up when referencing which rows to pick if you wanted a business class seat next to the window. He said to pick 2,4,6 or 8 and the seatmap mercflight posted and the one I got in my booking (same as mercflights pic) confirm otherwise. Anyway here is a link with some pics and call me impressed by the business class cabin!

Here's also a review from TPG website giving more details on the seating, etc.:

Not sure if this the correct forum. I booked 2 J seats on TAP for their new SFO flight at the end of this month. I chose my seats at booking. I checked yesterday and saw they took my seat away and my wife has the only assigned seat. My reservation states no seat assigned. Is this normal? The flight is pretty full and seats are limited now.
