chance of tap checking bag thru
 

I am flying from Madrid to Lisbon and then from Lisbon to Faro on Tap. I bid fairly high for a business upgrade and am hoping they will check my bag through. Thoughts? It looks like I may be 6 pounds over or so the 50 pound limit.

I don't understand your question.
Do you have 2 separate tickets? If so, no way they'll check your bag through.
intra-EU biz is pretty crappy - same seats (blocked middle) and probably not even a full meal on MAD-LIS.

If you got a TAP discount ticket, no bags are included. If you have anything above that, then it's either 1 or 2 bags x 23 kg each. Biz gets you 2x32kg each.

I'm not sure the biz upgrade cost will be worth the baggage allowance. See online how much adding a bag would cost you.
