Status of TAP reconfigured cabins on A32S fleet?

Flying TAP quite a bit these days, and have come to appreciate the extra legroom and powerplugs in the front rows.

Does anyone have the latest on which planes in the fleet are already equipped with these news seats? Have had them several times on A320s between France and LIS.

Are all A320s equipped now? What about the A321s and A319s? Is there anyway I can tell the new cabins by looking at seat maps on expertflyer?

Thanks!

PS: I believe having read about this question already at some point on this forum, and posisbly having asked it myself. But I can't find anything using the search function. And in any case the information would be half a year old by now.

The A321 fleet is all retrofited.
The A320 fleet is all retrofited, except for CS-TQD (the latter doesn't have seats 01DEF and 02DEF).
The A319 fleet is all retrofited, except for CS-TTQ (the latter has 22 rows, as opposed to the 24 rows in the former).

Both CS-TQD and CS-TTQ will leave the fleet and therefore won't even be retrofitted.

TP has leased two A32S from Aigle Azur: F-HBAL (A319) and F-HBIS (A320) for a few months. Neither of these has been reconfigured.

Any news about the 333's and 332's refitting?

The A333s won't be retroffited and will leave the fleet. All the A332s due to be retrofitted are done (CS-TOL, -TOM, -TON, -TOO, -TOP, -TOQ, and -TOR). The remaining ones (CS-TOE until -TOK) won't be retrofitted and will leave the fleet as A339s are phased-in; CS-TOJ has already been phased-out.

I'm considering visiting TMS (São Tomé). TAP flies there using A32S. Am I right in assuming that this 8-hour flight does not have real business class, and that J means Y seats with the middle seat blocked?

Yes and yes :)

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. I was sort of hoping for a medium-haul product like the one IB has. I'm not too keen on sitting in that plane for such a long time, especially since they don't even allow disembarking during the stop at ACC. But there aren't many options. TAAG with a transfer in LAD, perhaps

This route will be operated nonstop by TP with the new A321LRs (once they get them), which will have proper J seats

Thanks, tff, this sounds great! Do you have any idea about when that might happen?

It looks like the two Aigle Azur A319 are still flying for TP with 144 Y seats. Is this to cover the delays in the A320neo deliveries?

That is the case indeed.

As an update to the status of reconfigured cabins:
- All the medium haul fleet is done, with two sets of exceptions: on the one hand, F-HBAL (A319) and F-HBIS (A320) will remain in the fleet possibly until the end of the year; on the other hand, CS-TJM and -TJN are former Primera birds and have kept its configuration for now, operating mainly LIS-TLV and LIS-ACC-TMS;
- As for the long haul, only two A333s are left (CS-TOW and -TOX), 3 older A332 have been retired (CS-TOF, -TOG, -TOI, and -TOK are still active) and all 4 A343s as well.

I had the pleasure of experiencing a flight LIS-MUC on F-HBAL last night. What a pain. This was the most uncomfortable seating I have experienced in a long time, even worse than the green TP seats we got reassigned to because of a prevented misconnection on the outbound LIS-PDL leg (that's a different story, though).

With Aigle Azur close to bankruptcy that problem may soon be solved.

Just FYI, there's one ZI 319 and one 320 operating for TAP. I've had the "pleasure" of flying on it twice over the past 12 months and saw it in VCE just the other day.

They should keep flying until the end of the year. Their seats are awful indeed.
