Using MileagePlus Account with TAP Flight
I'm planning to fly TAP this summer, US -> Europe. When I was booking through the TAP website, it would not accept my MileagePlus account number. It stated "The Frequent Flyer Number is not valid. Insert a 9 digits number."
My MileagePlus account number has two letters, followed by six numbers (XX####). Has anyone had success entering their MileagePlus number for a TAP flight? If so, how did you format it? |
Try with a leading zero?

I had this same issue a month back. The regex of the input is only looking of 0-9 digits and does not take any letters. I had to call TAP which took forever to get through, once I got through the lady quickly added it to my flight no problem. If there's any way I could do this without having to call TAP every time, that would be amazing. Still haven't figured that out yet.

SOLVED: Booked using the default TAP number. When I went to checkin (via the iOS app -though similar behavior may work on a computer) I was able to change my frequent flyer number to United.

If you want to change it before check-in, PM them on fb or twitter, they'll do it. Amadeus has its problems :/

I had this same problem a couple months ago - I had to call and wait on hold for an hour.
After they added it, my star gold status wouldn't show up, so I had to take my UA gold card with me and show it everywhere to get the benefits. |
Next time PM them on fb or twitter to add it
