Thank you, gladly report back that, they do allow cancel on bidding offer, and they also allow to place the bid again after the cancellation.

Thanks for the help.

Hello I have a couple questions, We have a flight from MIA-LIS in February next year. I was wondering is it better to wait to put in a bid? If so how far ahead would be a good time to put one in. Also, I am assuming when you put in a bid there is a minimum amount that they show, is that amount for both passengers on that reservation or is it per person, so in other words whatever that amount is or my bid is, will they charge me double that amount, or is that the total for both passengers? Thank you

It's per person, the amount bid times the number of person is what they gonna charge you upon upgrade.

One thing I found is that, when you put in a bid, at about 4 days before the flight, the page changed so you can not enter a lower bid. Let say you put in $500, they page will not let you update it to lower than $500, unless you cancel, and I'm not sure it will let you bid again if you cancel.

No Plusgrade on IAD-LIS

I just booked IAD-LIS for April 2020. It says Plusgrade is not available. Will that change as we get closer?

Any other options for upgrading to J?

Has anyone had experience with upgrades on ORD-LIS?

Haven't seen any posts about the ORD-LIS route so curious to know if it upgrades are common on this route - fairly new, I think it started up last year.

Also, is it usual for your selected economy seats to disappear after you've bid for an upgrade? The two economy seats (paid extra for them), on the ORD-LIS route aren't showing on my booking now.

Just had a $510 bid accepted about 38-hours out for ORD-LIS. Minimum bid was $395. At 72-hours out there were 16 seats showing available in business class on TAP's seatmap. Probably could have had a much lower one accepted.

I think the economy seats didn't disappear after bidding for this reservation, but, I cannot recall 100%.

Do you get lounge access for the bid? Apparently there isn't time with the seat boost app method.

Yes, winning bid included lounge access both in ORD and LIS.

Can you choose your seat at any point before or after bidding? It’s kind of a dealbreaker for me not to have an aisle seat.

I just entered a bid on an upcoming SFO-LIS flight. Immediately they responded with an email stating that others on my flight had bid more than me. The wording does not state that my bid was rejected or that I did not get the upgrade. I am the skeptical type, so I take this as TAP trying to drive the upgrade bid amounts up.

Has anyone else received this type of email after bidding? How did it play out?

During my recent upgrade request cycle, I also received emails like this. Something to the
effect of "Raise your bid up to "XXX" to be first". What they don't tell you is how many seats
they allocate to the upgrade auction (I'm not saying that they necessarily should). Obviously,
if they upgrade 4 people, then it's fine if your bid was the 4th highest.

You should eventually get email from TAP with a final result.
