rename Paris forum to FRANCE forum
I am posting this as a member and as the moderator of the Paris and Europe Forums.
Could we consider to rename the Paris forum and make it a France forum? this would make search alot easier. Alot of people post France specific questions in the Paris forum, those should go to Europe since Paris is more than only France. but then again, a question about the TGV from Paris to Strasbourg or about a french phone card/SIM-Card should be posted in Europe since its not Paris specific. its a important information for all visitors to France, not only to Paris.
this would make it alot easier for me as moderator of both forums since there are threads I don't know where to put them. and being frenchman living outside Paris, I'd love to see questions about France posted in a forum which is not called Paris, since its alot more.
lets discuss here!

Am also in favor of a France Forum, with Paris sub-forum. It would be helpful to those posting in TravelBuzz looking for answers such as "how to make a collect call from France?" Speaking as a member and a moderator, a France Forum makes a lot of sense.
In addition, I would like to see an Italy Forum.

This suggestion makes sense, and I will make such a motion in the private TalkBoard forum.
Thanks!

I stand by chrissxb here, though I am not too much in favor of anything like a 'subforum'. Subforums IMHO tend too often to considerably decrease the visibility and participation to the related topics. So why not have simply a single 'France' forum that should include all Paris-related threads?

lets make it a France forum. This is alot easier for everybody. we have enough centralization here in France , lets make a de-centralized forum where its not Paris and the Province (not Provence!!!) but a place where all french regions treated equally

May I suggest a second thread be started to discuss the Italy forum?

I'd second that suggestion to split off the Italian discussion into a new thread. Satisfies my demands for board neatness
I'm in favour of the suggestion chrissxb has made.

I like the reasons that Chris has put forward for having a France forum, and support it.

I support this. Much like how the Tokyo forum was changed to the Japan forum, Paris definitely doesn't not define nor even represent the rest of France.

My entire feelings on this subject (these subjects?) as posted on private TalkBoard Forum:

I have no objection at all to establishing a UIF (Used Italian Forum).

I agree with the proposal to rename the Paris forum to France - the broadening will allow us to discuss some of the great produce of this country, most of it not from Paris .
