Just wanted to bump the thread. Given the attention that other TB motions are getting, I didn't want this to get lost in the shuffle.

You bumped the thread right while I was doing a slow exposure; now my picture is blurred.

As a result, we will require a place to discuss travel tripods (steady, small, lightweight, bump-resistant and TSA-approved). Hmm, is there an appropriate forum where can we discuss that?

Maybe this would be easier: anyone not for this motion? Seems overwhelmingly positive. Take note, TB!

I'm no photo expert. I'd love to improve my photographs and learn more about how some of the great photos in the contests were acquired. Excellent idea!

I think this is a great idea. I see posts in other forums, mostly Travel Tech, that would belong here. I'd probably visit it regularly, enjoy the photos, and hopefully learn a lot - though I doubt I know enough to contribute much to it. (I could post a photo of myself in a Valparaiso police station under a poster titled "Rights of the Detained" in Spanish, covering my face with a hat.)

But that may be a better question for Randy & the WebFlyer staff I think...
I would be in favor of and support a Photo / Video forum.

A good amount of travel for folks also includes photo and video and right now you go to Travel Tech or Omni or other places to ask questions about it. So I think it is a great suggestion.

Ignore this part then as I stand corrected.

KosraeTV, FT has that ability and, in fact, people do it in Trip Reports and, most notably, in the three FT photo competitions that Birdstrike has been running. The pictures aren't stored on the FT servers -- there is an image insert feature that takes the link of the photo stored elsewhere and displays it in the message. You can see the third photo competition here.

Thanks I never got it to work when I did it. Will this work in other threads like Hawaii and such? When I tried it I couldn't work it. Glad you folks are out there.
