Moderator "Editing" Behavior
Over on the Qantas board a moderator went in and edited another persons post. This is rare since the majority of moderators merely guid their forum. I have seen an exception or two but understood why the radical action was taken in those circumstances.
Now, I did not see what was originally said, but would this not be unacceptable protocol save the most offensive of cirumstances? Maybe this has been addressed before but I missed it. [This message has been edited by CountinPlaces (edited 03-19-2003).] |
Why is it unacceptable? Since you did not see the original post, how can you be sure that it isn't in the "most offensive of circumstances"?

Agreed.
However, I suppose the action taken initially seems to be overreaching even with my afforementioned qualifiers. Should such power be afforded to all moderators or should that be reserved for Randy himself. It is a draconian step that indicates a major infraction of FT TOS. |
