Then you've changed your mind about the proposed location being counter-intuitive?

Not at all.

Topics relating to earning SPG points are covered in the SPG forum
Topics relating to ground transportation are covered in the destination forums
Topics relating to Uber/Lyft/Sidecar loyalty, safety et al have been covered in ten TravelBuzz threads over a span of four years.

The status quo is perfectly intuitive as demonstrated.

This seems to sum it up pretty nicely.

Thanks for making your views crystal clear. I still believe there is value in centralizing discussion of Uber and Lyft, just as we centralize discussion of hotel companies that operate in many cities. Therefore I now propose removing the subtitle "Non city-specific discussion of single ride services" and allowing city-specific topics in the centralized forum.

Here are two different versions to implement this, one with a new Uber/Lyft forum and one without.

Version 1 (no dedicated forum for Uber at this time):
TalkBoard recommends renaming the heading "Car Rental Programs/Partners" to become "Car Rental Programs and Ride Services, including Uber and Lyft"
Version 2 (new forum for Uber and similar services):
TalkBoard recommends renaming the heading "Car Rental Programs/Partners" to become "Car Rental Programs and Ride Services"

TalkBoard recommends creation of a new forum at the top position under that heading entitled "Ride Services, including Uber and Lyft".

I prefer version 1; with an option for version 2 at a later date, depending upon the performance of version 1.

Where would actual discussion of ride services take place under proposal 1?

In the rental car discussion forum? If so, shouldn't that be re-named as well?

Seems like we NEED a version 2 type forum if we are going to park ride services in the rental car lot!

I support having a separate forum. I use uber a lot. Yes there are some negative uber stories but there are just as many negative experiences with taxi drivers
