Can someone please fix the Mileage Run Deals forum?
 

Just go look at how many moved threads there are in that forum. Nearly half are noise.

For some of us that are subscribed via RSS alert, it is a huge pain in the @ss to see some newbie make a thread to beg for advice on how to get 5000 miles for under 50 dollars before the end of the year so they can make their milestone every other day.

Either it is because there is no punishment for posting in the wrong forum, or there is not enough sign postage to tell them. It's getting ridiculous. :td:

TalkBoard has no jurisdiction pertaining to the moderation of forums on FlyerTalk, keitherson.

Have you tried reaching out to the moderators of that forum via private communications and expressing your concern?

Even if the concern is not about the moderation itself, they would be the best people with whom to communicate...

...but in the meantime, what solution would you propose which members of TalkBoard should consider?

Has there ever been? Luckily, no.

It's an annual year-end blip and will pass in under 2 weeks.

tcook052 forgot to mention that he is a former moderator of the forum in question; so he is experienced on this topic.

I thought he still work for moderator? :confused: I actually know him very well, but he still moderator over Air Canada Forum.

You can see the list of moderators assigned to a specific forum by opening the forum, scrolling to the bottom of the page, and looking in the righthand corner. Mileage Run Deals has five moderators:

tcook052 is still a moderator, but he is not currently assigned to that forum.
