As I have taken advantage of several previous Avis promotions with them, I would enjoy a place to discuss their OW entry and current promotions.
Additionally, AB is starting additional service to LAS in May

There is no question on this and I wonder why it's not yet resolved! AB is a large airline in a large market and is joining a major alliance.

Any airline that has a FFP and has an active following (even if a small one) deserves a forum at FT, and does not deserve to be placed in the bowels of a generic forum for years and years until some of the TB has a relief of its constipation (or a change of its makeup). That is the spirit of Flyertalk.

In principle I support the forum being created. I generally feel all members of an alliance deserve a forum of their own, not burried in a regional generic forum. This is a problem now with CZ, MU, CI, and CA. All are alliance members, CZ and CA for quite a long time now, but trying to find any useful information is difficult because they are all shoved into a generic forum.
Aside from current followers, AB will become a lot more interesting to OneWorld flyers very soon and having a forum will make it far easier for people wanting information to find it.

I also say yes for an AirBerlin Forum. For instance for bmi we have a separated forum, too. The situation of AirBerlin in Germany is kind the same as it was with bmi in the UK.
Germany:
Lufthansa flag carrier and *Alliance member
AirBerlin 2nd largest German Carrier becoming OneWolrd Member
UK:
British Airways flag carrier and OneWorld Member
bmi 2nd largest (?) british carrier and *Alliance member
In addition AirBerlin has a successful operation outside of Germany with a hub in Palma de Mallorca.

I support new forum, but please make it joint Air Berlin / Niki forum. They share FFP and AB now owns 100% in HG.
