I would explain the whole story in detail behind the reason why the concept of Lounge threads was conceived, but I have a feeling that writing and posting that would be little more than a colossal waste of my time.

Anyway, as has already been said in this thread, the topic of this thread is moot due to limitations in technology.

Off the top of my head, you can find one in Community, Alaska Airlines, Delta, and United/Continental

There may be more. Not every forum has one. It's up the the moderators to decided whether or not to allow them.

aka decide to not follow or enforce the TOS.

No, that's not the issue. It was decided by all the mods that it would be up to each one to make the decision whether or not to allow OT.

Why should this group of posters have the ability to decide who is bound by the TOS?

Unless you know the history, please do not make suppositions.

I don't think that post counts to OMNI or the lounges should be counted. I think that it gives the "impression" that somebody is an active and productive content provider with all of the posts under their handle. Additionally, this used to be a place wherepeople actually contributed quite a bit of rich/good content and now many who are "legends" only post one word answers or an emoticon. Perhaps the stopping the post count could be on a trial basis for 3 months and see what the outcome is?

The software does not allow for individual threads not to count post counts. If the forum allows post counts, then all threads in that forum count.

Cheers.

That's because the activity in lounge threads has dropped off significantly. ;)

Not exactly... within the constraints of the technology, they could be moved to OMNI should this come to a vote and pass and should the other vote to re-enable OMNI post count fail.

That way, all OT posts would be in one OT forum, rather than interspersed amongst forums with each Moderator determining where and how they want to enforce the TOS with respect to OT posts in a lounge thread.

:D :D Ever since this proposal came up, the activity in the lounge threads has dropped off substantially.

I wonder why :D :D :D ;)

You quoted what I posted before I added an active link to it.

I have already been chastised about it before, but...
