another new Coop trophy (märkli) promotion is now running (under the name of 'Paddington Bear Trophy) from today (april 6) until August 14 2010.
The rules to buy miles&more miles are the same as before:

* 30 stamps = one full trophy card = gives you the right to buy 2'000 Miles for the price of CHF 34.90
* not more than 15 full trophy cards =30'000 miles&more miles) can be exchanged per miles&more account during this promotion (= until August 14).

for this time-limited trophy-promotion you don't need a Coop Supercard-account.
For non-swiss residents the only logistic problem may be, that conversions into miles can only been done by presenting the full trophy-cards together with your miles&more card in person at Coop in Switzerland.
You would need one to earn Coop Superpoints (and for transferring them into miles).

Just a question: Is it, with the future "enhancements" from M&M still worth to collect Märkli and exchange? I rarely buy fine food products, and less so over 25 CHF, so that voucher isn't really helping me.
I usually redeem for C flights to SE Asia, which were 120k miles + approx 500 CHF. Now, I guess 135k miles + 500 CHF.
Swiss currently has, for example, BKK on sale for 3'761 CHF in C, giving 25.240 miles.
A card gives 2000 miles @ 34.90 CHF as you all well know, makes it 2355.75 CHF for 135k miles. Plus approx 500 CHF for the s***** other stuff LH likes to charge makes approx 2850 CHF. That means, for approx 900 CHF more I can book myself into C AND get 25k miles on top. The miles themselves are worth around 500 CHF, so you're coming out 400 CHF "cheaper" when using the Märkli.
Well. If there isn't even a cheaper offer from LH/LX in C, if you aren't looking for status miles, or if there isn't another "X bonus miles for X flights" offer.
What I want to say is: Are the Märkli to Miles still a good offer?
Maybe someone could enlighten me.. I know the advantages.. same milage amount for any place, not getting more expensive closer to flight date.. but that's it.. or I am overlooking anything?

Maybe you "should not consider" the special rate in your calculation. Usual Z fares for LX ZRH - BKK return stand at approx CHF 5'300.- Therefore, CHF 2'800.- with the märkli and tax is still quite a good deal, but for sure not as good as the possibilities for our German friends with all their wonderful newspaper deals. But as a brave Swiss I am not jealous, of course!
