Seriously, FTL business lounge access is the only perk of that status level.

Shame LX doesn't invest a little money in such an important area..

Guess I get to keep my car
As someone who would be directly affected by a no-*G policy, I also hope you get to keep your car

That being said, I was able to find precisely one photo of the entrance to these new lounges, and there's a clear lack of the usual "Star Alliance Gold" logo that signifies access to Gold members:

Here's the FRA SEN lounge displaying the logo I'm talking about:

I'm afraid you might have to start looking into public transport

I wish movies had te tension this mysterious lounge access rule thread has.
Is there access? Isn’t there access? Right now I believe it could be either! And the tension keeps rising!

Will Yuropflyer get to keep his car? Will Nick get access to the Senator Lounge this friday? Find out in the next episode of Lounges ZRH [merged Q&A thread] this friday on Flyertalk only.

Banning *G from a lounge center is a little bit harsh, the right policy would be to direct *G and LH FTL to the business lounge and SEN and *F passengers to the SEN lounge.

This said, SEN lounges should gain back their exclusiveness and really be accessible to LH group's own golds only. I can feel that we are moving in that direction.

A friend sent me a picture from the lounge and he is only FTL. So pretty sure FTL and also *G still have access.

I asked them on Twitter. No access for Star Gold anymore.

That's really lame if true. If all the airlines start restricting half their lounges only to their own elites, what's the whole point of *G benefits.

It’s not free. I spent about 7k this year to get it. Stripping me from any shengen lounge access in ZRH is just insulting.
I’m just a poor student! I can’t afford M&M Sen! Think about the poor student *G’s!

The happiness gained from *G not having access is less than the happiness lost by stripping *G from access. So the general happiness in the world decreased by this move!

Bold statement and not necessarily true To mention a few: *G through A3 (I hear it's quite easy/'cheap'), SK (based on segments), TK status match (from joke programs such as FB where with less than 10 return trips via hubs you'd get to Gold) or totally free as in my own case (employer kindly paying for roughly 200+ flights a year) and I am sure there are several other cases not springing to mind as we speak

G
