Any shower??
I am flying from Montreal to Zurich via ORD and have 5 hours to kill in Chicago. Was thinking of maybe going downtown for a while as I have never been in Chicago. But then that means I need to get a shower before boarding LX9.
Thanks in advance for your help. ^

If your flight departs from T5 TSA will not let you in to any other terminal (not that I am sure that RCCs at T1 have showers). T1/2/3 are interconnected, T5 is not. If you are desperate for a shower, call ORD Hilton (located next to T1/2/3 and 3 minute monorail ride from T5) and ask if they can offer you any daytime-use rate. It will not be cheap, but most likely doable.

I was just in the LX lounge - no seats left. There was only some cheese, and 1 type of wine.
I made my way over to the BA lounge (open door policy as a BA gold) and the selection is much better with almost every seat empty.
The SAS lounge as I recall from a year back had a decent food selection, a few types of wines and plenty of seating.
*Though anything beats the contract lounge LO uses in ORD*

LX ORD Lounge Hours
Did a search but could not find the information.
Can someone please tell me the Lounge Hours of Operation for the LX Lounge in T5 of ORD?
I am flying ORD-ICN on OZ Monday 4/30. Flight departs at 12:00pm and trying to figure out my *A Lounge options. I know SAS also has a lounge in T5. I am *G with RCC Membership and flying J reward.
Thank you

I flew TK out of ORD a few weeks ago, and surprised they don't use a * lounge, but use the Swissport lounge in T5. TK departs late, I think 9:30p or so, so I know Swiss lounge is closed by then ;I think 7:30), but surprised they didn't use the SAS lounge, who also has a flight after 9p. Not sure who OZ uses,

2 weeks ago I was in the SAS lounge and it was a mixture of pax for Istanbul and zurich flights. The SAS lounge is better than the Swiss lounge and has a nice view of the runway. It is also NOT a priority pass lounge (Swiss is) so is usually a lot less crowded. LOT also does not use a STAR lounge at T5 ORD- not sure why.

I don't think that the Swiss Lounge is going to be much use for you if your flight leaves at 12 from ORD T5.
In May 2011 the hours were as follows:
The SAS Lounge closed at 9:30 PM on Thursday nights (open until midnight on Friday and Saturdays due to flight timings)
The Swiss Lounge was only open between 2 PM – 5 PM (timed with LX flights)
TK business class / first passengers used the contract Swissport.

the *A lounge finder says the swiss lounge has showers -- is it too much to hope that they added one in the past year?
