so from what i gather in this thread, it probably would be better to spend time at the UA IFL instead of the LX F lounge?
I'll be coming from a CO flight, so will be arriving in T1 and have 3 1/2 hours before my flight on LX.
how long is the treck between T1 and T5?
thanks
synd

thanks for the answers!
considering how rarely i go through ord, i might just do some lounge hoping...
starting in the ua lounges, before moving on to the sas and lx lounge. and last minute christmas shopping...

SWISS lounge at ORD
Hi,
quite simply, its size is ridiculous. There is hardly any space, and everyone seems to stick their bags onto the seat next to them to make the problem even worse.
surely, they must realise that the size is too small ?

If you think that's bad, you should see the LH / Star Alliance lounge in Dubai. If First is full on the FRA flight or there are multiple HONs there is not enough space for all in the F section. Curiously, I've flown with only 4 pax in F and seen it full too...perhaps HON heavy.
The C side is usually swimming with bodies.
At least the staff there will redirect you to the adjacent contract lounge which, while much larger, isn't nicer.

The lounge also needs some refurbishment - it is quite dirty.

Flying LX/SK/LO out of T5 you can use the LX, WFS (aka Worldwide VIP, need to collect a pass from the LO CI desk) and the SK lounge.

The SK facilites are the best. The Swiss lounge is a blast from the past, barely converted from the Swissair design.

Hell at ORD LX Lounge
After Hell on immigration, which I duly reported in a post, I am now typing this sitting o a departure lounge bench as both F and C X lounges are standing room only. Apparently one HON showed up with 4 guests (not family members) and they let them all in!
Again, Swiss ground staff in ORD are totally incompetent!

Its a general consensus that the LX lounge in ORD is best avoided and that your should head to the SAS Scandinavian lounge near M15 for better comfort.
