LH's top tier is a VERY high-cost way to maintain the loyalty of VERY high-spenders, it was formed to separate these from the rapidly growing GOLD class. They certainly will not want to add to the select HON membership from STC Circle which has a relatively large membership, and had very ill-defined criteria for joining and maintaining membership.

You can be certain that LH will look at Circle member's travel patterns: those that generate required levels of revenue will be welcomed aboard. Others will be "downgraded" to Gold. That's the business.
The issue at hand is business, more precisely good business practice: the same standards and principles should be applied to the migration of all STC members; this is clearly not the case (in fact, due to the different earning opportunities of the two FFP's, the migration qualification criteria for STC Circles even are far more stringent that MM's own qualification criteria for HON Circle). What LH plans to do is therefore simply bad business practice.

spending miles on SQ?

A F trip with LX Europe-Asia costs 200k miles. And we can add 6 more legs with CX for example.
now, I'm thinking about spending those 200k miles and flying to Asia, but I'd prefer flying with SQ instead of CX. Does anyonone now if,

a) you still can do those 8 legs, for example zrh-bkk-sin-nrt-sin-hkg-sin-bkk-zrh with LX and SQ. (under M&M conditions, NRT and SIN are in 2 different zones, so it wouldn't be possible right? but if one book under STC conditions?
b) From what time on will it be possible to combine award flights LX/SQ

thx for your inputs

No, you can't. No awards on SQ are possible under the STC regime, and 8 segment awards are not possible with M&M.

Never under STC rules. Under M&M rules, probably from the moment LX joins Star Alliance.

And how is it with award tickets combined with Swiss, Iberia and Lufthansa? I was told today that this is not permitted but I didn't find any such restrictions on the Travelclub Webpage Anyone experience with the just mentioned three airlines?

With STC it is only possible to combine LX & one partner, regardless which airline. Other options are LX alone and one partner alone.
