No mattress on LX, whereas LH provides one on longer flights.

was told by HON Service today that since last week - if you as HON travel with a non HON/SEN and are not in the same booking they can not put the non HON/SEN next to you on a preferred seat, e.g. in LX 4D/G anymore. Only if the non HON/SEN is in the same booking they can still do it.

I have a choice between 4K and 12A on SFO-ZRH (777-300ER), went with 4K to have an unobstructed view from the windows. It's also in the smaller cabin, so perhaps service might be quicker?

Did I miss anything?

Both are window seats in a pair, no direct aisle access. Many prefer the minicabin because it is quieter. 4K is on the starboard side and has the sun during the daylight part of the flight so your view might not be as nice as you'd think.

I am aware that throne seats are released at OLCI, which LX opens 23 hours before departure, but OS has OLCI 47 hours before and since OS is my first segment, OLCI would be done at OS for both segments.
What does this mean for me, will I have free throne seats available 47h before or they will stay locked and I will still have to try my luck 23 hours before (on OS website).
Thanks
Not sure if Swiss reverted their seating policy, but I'm on a J award ARN-ZRH-SFO with both legs on LX. When I checked my reservation for fun today 46 hours before departure from ARN, all the open thrones and preferred seats became available and I was able to get 4A.

lucky you.... that's usually only possible from 24 hours before the flight when OLCI is available

I have a booking in December (77"), and apparently im able to select the throne seats for free.
Anyone have any experience whether they will move me if i choose one now?
I have 4K atm, so not sure if i will take the risk or not.

I have tried it once, where the Swiss throne seats showed as selectable for free (even with a big, clear, "Free" label), but the system removed it later (something about unpaid extras) and I lost my original seat.
On Austrian earlier this year though, I managed to select a throne seat for free and have it stick.
Both 3+ months out.

4D and 4K on Swiss A330 this week, very happy with both.

Hello all, I'm back to ask about the B77W after experiencing 6A on the A333, and 4A on the A343.

Is there a reason why I shouldn't go for 6G (bulkhead center row, seat away from aisle?) on the 77W? Can't get any of the thrones at the moment, so just wondering if anyone with experience with 6G knows if it's a bit too close for comfort to the toilets.

difficult question to answer. I always try to take 4D or 4G (seldom traveling alone), and if those are not free, I go behind row 7 (i.e. 8 and higher), simply due to the fact, that rows 6 and 7 are too cold for us. My wife likes to be close to the toilet, hence the "stbli", but then prefers "warm" over "close" if Stbli is not available.

Thanks for the data point that's pretty useful! Unfortunately the Stbli is not available, so I'll have to do with the main cabin.

Do you notice any space difference between the bulkhead center twins in the Stbli versus the normal center twins in the seats in the main cabin? I know they different for the thrones but I don't know if that's the same for the twins as well.

IIRC, they do have more storage space. and there seems to be more space for the feet as well, when the seat is made to a bed.

I have a flight booked on Lufthansa ALC-FRA Business Class but which after booking, was changed to Swiss ALC-ZRH and Helvetic ZRH-FRA. Can anyone let me know if the Helvetic sector (which shows on the itinerary as Business) is Business Class (i.e., blocked neighbouring seat + something to eat and drink). Thanks.
