Swiss delayed luggage
Is the max reimbursement from Swiss limited to $200 per passenger?
There were some purchases made that were time sensitive for an event. Since they will no longer be needed as it is in vain now. Will Swiss reimburse full purchase price? I don’t I’ll gladly ship those items to Swiss if they will pay for shipping and packing materials.
I wanted to start off by saying Swiss is incompetent but that’d be too generous of the cluster of mishandling on their part.

Business class. No status with airline or LHG. I am going to have to try a soft approach as a start to ask that they make me whole on the time sensitive items I no longer need. This is in excess of the $200 limit for business and $300 limit for first.

Toiletries & under garments are 100% , they usually pay 50% of the other items unless you return them to nearest LX office.

haha. Unfortunately they transferred the luggage to LH at Frankfurt. I can see it in my tags but it’s no where near the gates where the plane to my destination departs from. Do you know if there is a LH luggage office in Frankfurt I can call?

No & anyway they need to sort through any bag pile in some kind of order, no one will go searching just for your bags, through a pile that could be 1,000 s….

Does anyone know if you can request Swiss reimburse in your local currency (USD)? Can you request Swiss issue a check in your local currency? Swiss is offering Euros, and at an unfavorable FX rate, which is incongruous to the market FX rate, and the rate my bank will apply converting EUR to USD on the wire.

I was reimbursed over 100 EUR (including full refund for toiletries, and full refund for T-shirts, socks and CK underwear) for a 24hr baggage delay ZRH-BKK, on Premium Economy ticket. Money transfer was in PLN, my local currency and the exchange rate wasn't bad.
