On other hand every single time i had IRROPs and transit issues with LH/LX they could not be more helpful. Sure i enjoy 500g of caviar on my EK F flights, but i would still rely on LX/LH in case of complex itineraries to small airports around europe and to help me if misconnect is even possible - like last week when i didnt miss the flight but LX offered me EK F rebooking just to reprotect me to DXB.

My gripe with EK, even in F (i only ever travelled F on them), is the lack of support once off the plane. Call centres - useless, immigration priority? - keep dreaming, IRROPs? -- no way they would help.

& Wine onboard & F lounges at DXB, their J lounge at MAN is better than what Kaefer are doing in F at FRA

Today, I booked a flight for a business trip to SIN and DPS (yes, DPS) in 2 weeks. I was lucky, I secured the last available seat in F, but connecting in HKG instead of the nonstop (from ZRH) and one day earlier than I wanted to fly.
LX176 is sold out several days around my travel date and this is 2 weeks before departure.
What I want to say: with Allegris offering only 3 to 4 seats this will get even worse! It has been mentioned here on FT before. That's the reality.

Many Asia routes seem busy, I was on LX180 to BKK recently and it was at F1 a good 4-5 weeks out from departure (and that route probably has less paid F bookings than SIN).
For some routes the new 3 seat cabin will surely result in lost revenue, I find it hard to believe that higher prices and hardly any awards will offset all that as some pax will likely look elsewhere.

I suspect there's a background battle between Swiss and LH about how much F to offer. From lot of what LH does it seems that the mother feels F is a thing they don't want but have to have. LX on the other hand understands it as a central part of their offering.

It's unbelivable that this incompetent people at LH have always more influence at LX. There are sure some routes that have not very high F demand or almost not at all like YUL. Hence as a economicaly compromise I could have seen the A333 going forward offering 1 row of F however the A350 and B77W's absolutely would need 2 rows of F.
