It's just a wet lease, so apart from the plane and crew being from BT, you otherwise get a normal LX product and procedures, including seat selection.
Is your reservation already ticketed? I believe third party tickets don't allow seat selection until the ticket is issued.

Update: I called Swiss and was told they aren't able to assign a seat since it's operated by Air Baltic and Swiss is only marketing. They couldn't give me a PNR only that I should call Air Baltic and ref the UA ticket number...

It is a SWISS flight, just a wetlease, suggest you call again & hope for a competent agent.

Although I bought the pure Swiss operating flight ticket, Swiss made changes three days before my flight and one of them was operated by Air Baltic.
All four flights were almost full, I got a bottle of water and a tissue in my seat on Air Baltic, but nothing else. Not only Air Baltic but also Swiss crews throughtout my flights were all uninterested and bearly visible. The last leg of the journey ZRH-BCN on LX1950 was delayed for over 40mins. It seems Swiss has a lot of problems when comes to on-time performacne as all afternoon and evening flights were delayed everytime I connected through ZRH.
Dont find anything extra being a HON/SEN on any of LH group flights anymore. Flying has become very different from what it used to be.... I can imagine how will 2024 look like...higher prices, even less quality and service, and a new worse M&M programme.

Had 3 flights with operated with Edelwise plane and crew last week and they where all fine (2x YUL and 1x ZRH-CPH). On the longhaul flights, the service was actually very good. That being said, I had an LX CPH-ZRH last friday and the service was top notch.

Just flew WK151 yesterday from RMF to ZRH, full flight. Very nice friendly and pleasant service. Sort of a bento meal served (lpermacaroni, cold) with 3 soft drinks service during the entire flight. Loved how the pilot also announced all the sights to be seen from each side of the plane (Hurghada, pyramids, Cairo, Alexandria).

My apologies for the probably dumb question, but are Swiss flights operated by Helvetic wetlease or codeshare, i.e. do I get *G benefits? Specifically, this would be GRZ-ZRH direct. I've tried to do some search but keep running into contradicting answers (it seems Helvetic does both?).

I have SEN/HON/FTL status. Can I check in a second item of baggage on to my Edelweiss flights?
Yes. Your second item of baggage is also included on Edelweiss flights, free of charge as follows.
Frequent Traveller Card: 1 additional piece of 23kg when booked in Economy Class.
Senator Card / HON Circle Card / Star Alliance Gold Member Card: 1 extra piece with allowed weight according booked class

My flight ZRH-GVA last Saturday was changed from LX metal to Edelweiss, with many seat changes to the rear of the plane. Although my original seat 11F remained emplty (exit) on A220 I was bumped into 18F. The flight was half full and had many cabin crew staff at the front.
No status or any other recognition, throughout my journey (3x LX and 1x Edel), besides I feel all crews were really uninterested in anything and lazy. Maybe was bad luck, but until now did't have such a bad crew experience. In this occasion the crews were far below everage.

My inflight experiences so far - LX and WK, consistently recognizing HON members, Helvetic sometime, Air Baltic never … just to add on: LH & OS sometimes, LO never.
None of the above ever recognize SEN and below.

I had a couple of intra European Y flights with LH and zero recognition, was even asked to pay for a beer when I once asked for it. Something that never happened on LX.
Thankfully I can still afford to pay for that beer but it annoys me. After all, they already get a lot of revenue from us HONs and insisting on ~5 EUR for a beer when I am flying coach to IBZ with my family is ridiculous. And that ticket was not that cheap either (~700 EUR).
