Question LX ZRH to ICN Direct again?

Hi all
Pre-pandemic, LX (and KE) used to fly to ICN direct. Now both are discontinued. KE appears to have a direct seasonal flight on T/TH/SA but I believe it's cargo only as I can't book it at all and doesn't come up in searches.

What about LX? Is this in the works sometime in 2023? I'm very flexible on dates, just traveling with a small family and trying every way to eliminate stop overs to get to ICN and minimize travel time.

Thanks in advance

LX never flew to ICN. Most convenient would be LH via MUC, in my opinion.

Hi all, just wondering if ZRH-ICN is on the forecast for LX anytime soon?

Doubtful. As others shared already, your best bet is traveling via MUC or FRA.

It was not very unlikely recently but then LX decided to add Washington and Toronto. ICN was a strong candidate.

Yes announced for summer 2024 schedule I like Toronto IAD the airport is just a dump plus, not any kind of connecting hub.

OK thanks so since Summer 2024 was announced, earliest ICN would be a non-stop route wouldn't be the next announcement so Winter 2024 or Summer 2025?

well at some point LX has a finite number of aircraft so that has to be a limiting factor. I would think any further expansion would come when new deliveries would take place. Though I will let other more knowledgeable members talk about aircraft usage.
